Julbo Vermont -- so many folks "cool" but other advantages too
Glacier glasses have side shields. The Julbo vermont are flat, not curved. I suppose so many folks think they're cool because of their retro (or perhaps steampunk) look. They are re-issues of very old style glasses. The Spectralon 4 is what I recommend even though the less dense is said for driving. With cars' butts and rear glass and other suns around you such as the one doing thermonuclear fusion, you NEED the fuller filtration. The only trouble is the memory wire in the rubber covered temples, while it hugs you good, it breaks after. But I am a VERY heavy user. Constantly wearing the glasses and also often pulling them out from underneath earmuff style hearing protector over my ears. The glasses are great at what they do. The side sheilds wonderfully effective. Very cool looking. And BEING FLAT, prescription sunglasses can EASILY go overtop the Julbo Vermont's. The alleged need for curved sunglasses is not needed with Julbo Vermont. They alread have you covered just fine. Too bad the nichrome wire (or whatever metal it is) inside the rubber temple won't stand up to this user's abuse level treatment. I don't abuse anything else. Animate or inanimate. Only these glacier glasses. So this one criticism might not be applicable to normal wearers.
