5/5 – My First Step
5/5 – My First Step Into the World of Heritage Boots
Buying the Grant Stone Diesel Boot in Dune Chromexcel has been as enjoyable as owning them. I spent a long time researching different brands, leathers, lasts, and sizing, and the whole process made me appreciate just how much thought goes into a quality pair of boots.
My only previous experience with premium footwear was a pair of R. M. Williams boots back in 2016. They served me well, but the Diesel Boot has opened my eyes to the wider world of heritage, Goodyear-welted footwear.
The Dune Chromexcel leather is stunning. It has a beautiful natural colour with plenty of character, and you can already tell it’s going to develop an incredible patina over time. The craftsmanship is exceptional—from the stitching to the finishing—and the boots feel like they’re built to last for many years.
One thing I really appreciated was getting the sizing right. Taking the time to understand the fit made all the difference, and now the boots feel fantastic on foot.
I have a feeling these won’t be my last pair. In fact, I think I’ve caught the heritage boot bug. What started as buying a single pair has quickly become an appreciation for quality craftsmanship, beautiful leathers, and timeless style. I can already see myself adding more pairs to the collection in the future.
If you’re considering a pair of Grant Stones, I’d say they’re absolutely worth it. They combine outstanding quality, classic styling, and remarkable value, and they’ve made me realise why so many people become passionate about well-made boots.
