I generally prefer full grain thickness like oil infused harness leather belts. This belt is thin, but still seems to be a full grain leather. I had to do a search to find out why. Horsehide is a tighter grain than cowhide. I really like it. It is dressy, but not at all like the standard fare commonly found in dress belts. It is dense and tough. It surprised me—so glad I bought it.
