If you're searching for a cute, casual sneaker that you can wear with everything and that won't bother your arthritic toe - this is it! I'd just about given up on my search until I stumbled upon these, read the reviews and decided to try them. SO glad I did b/c they're totally working out, which is miraculous given the sensitive nature of my toe. The leather is soft, and the shoes were comfortable right out of the box (and that's without socks). Lastly, and possibly most importantly, the leather is not a stark white.
