Feel Summer.
I was sitting at a small port called Lakka in Paxos — a rocky outcrop Zeus cast off Corfu so he could court Athena. The harbour lights shimmered softly across the bay, painting the night with gentle golds and blues.
It was well past midnight, yet the quay was alive — filled with young lovers, tourists, and older couples seated side by side on a low stone wall, fingers intertwined beneath a star-studded, warm sky.
Nearby, a young woman played guitar for tips, her music drifting on the breeze. She played a tune I asked about, promising to remember it forever — only to forget her words moments later.
This morning, by chance, I found the song again: La Violetera by Gigliola Cinquetti and Nemanja Bogunovic.
This item feels like the memory of that night — subtle, alive, and beautifully present.
