I got my beluga buckle simply because I liked the way it looked. It was nicer to finally wear my baby in it and have it be as comfortable as the reviews said. Another thing that I really appreciate about it is being able to buckle it all on my own without outside help! It's been really helpful during baby carrying at home and outside on my own.
