Useless Anchors
The "Drop In" anchors included with the lift are useless. They do not grab the concrete properly and will pull out. I learned this upon the first attempt to lift my vehicle. 7 of the 10 started to pull out. The lift columns were moving so the anchors had to be replaced. I contacted the customer service department which said the standard anchors were on back order. this was concerning. My thought is others are having the same problem. They did provide me with a complete set of "Epoxy In" anchors at no charge. The rep mentioned that I would need a caulk gun. No problem I thought. When the kit showed up, the caulk tube nozzle was missing rendering the epoxy useless. That along with, what the rep failed to mention was that I was going to need a "Dual Piston" type caulk gun. These are difficult to find and aprox $70. So I was left with the decision of buying the correct type of gun or locally sourcing some epoxy. I purchased the epoxy locally ($90) that utilizes a single tube type gun. the lift is finally installed, but I am left with a sour taste due to all the trouble, time and extra expense it took to finally get anchors in place. I did have to come up with an alternate anchor plan as a couple of the epoxy anchors. The threads were stripped. Please feel free to contact me. CM
