Great sized van that is easy to drive yet has good room to sleep and live out of.

We landed in Christchurch and met with a lovely couple Linda and Graham who is the owner of Kontiki. Graham gives us a quick tour on how to use Kontiki around 45 min to an hour before we go on our journey. We planned to travel whole south island in a week.Now only i realized that it wont be enough to experience this beautiful place in such a short time .Kontiki is a wonderful motorhome,easy to handle and use .(Pay attention when Graham is giving the crash course). We camped 3 nights in unpowered site and 2 nights in powered site. Kontiki has full equipped kitchen and fridge . You have almost everything from spoon,plate cup,and others in the motorhome.Personally I would advise to cook lightly in the kitchen as you will need to pack everything before continue with your journey. The bed is comfy and I tried to sleep in the extra mattress on top of the driver seat,it is a bit warmer as compared to the one below. Kids will enjoy this though.It has those adventure feeling climbing up the stairs to get to the mattress.(I would think so if I were a kid. 😀) Bathroom and toilet is enough for a single user at a time and don't forget to turn on the water pump everytime before get into the bathroom or else you won't have water . Towards the end of our journey,one of Kontiki tyre blown up and we were in the area where there is no phone or signal coverage. We tried to look for extra tyre but couldn't find it as motorhome uses different ways for flat tyre. We then hitchhike to the closest town with coverage before i rang Graham for support. Since the location is not that far from Christchurch and we got a flight to catch, Graham and Linda came and handle the motorhome by themself by calling the road assistance support. We handed over the motorhome at that location before Linda sent us to the airport. Do ask Graham about the spare tyres as most of places in south island with less population doesn't have any phone signal coverage. Overall it was a great and wonderful experience and a lovely host is like a cherry on top of the cake!!

It was my first time renting a RV and I wasn't disappointed by the experience ! We were five friends and decided to travel around Coromandel and Rotorua. The Navigator fulfilled every need we had and was a wonderfull vehicle to travel with. Gary was nice and explain everything to us perfectly. The Mighway team were really reactive and helpful. I also really appreciate the work of the developers, the website is really easy to use and strait-forward.

We rented Rick & Neil's 4 Berth Campervan over Easter. Communication was excellent, the van was immaculate & very well set out with everything you need for a family of 4. Rick even dropped the camper to us. Fantastic holiday. Everthing we had hoped for. Highly recommended to others wishing to hire. Cheers Carla & Paul Gee
