Great van, super roomy and well set up for freedom camping. We had very bad weather while we were away Smashed Palace kept us warm and dry.

The experience started with lots of phone and email exchanges with TarTrek's owner Merv to align on pick-up/drop-off but more importantly to plan for the trip. Merv gave us a long list of tips including website links which were all very useful to plan our trip. We met both Merv and Noeline near the airport for the pick-up and briefing. Again there was no shortage of explanation and advice to make our trip as hassle-free as possible. TarTrek is a recent (looking literally almost as new), well-equipped and very comfortable campervan. Was perfect for the 2 us. We did a couple of unpowered freedom camping nights but otherwise were in powered sites in holiday parks booked on the day or 1 or 2 days in advance, depending on the location. Having rented campervans and RVs in the past from the big rental companies, I can't emphasize enough how we felt this experience to be much more tailored to our needs, from the choice of model that perfectly suited us to the great personal contact with the owners Merv and Noeline. Thank you again to both of them for having made these 2 weeks our best holiday in recent years.

Ramiro was very friendly, gave us a thorough introduction to the van upon pick-up. Fresh blankets and sheets were provided with newly installed curtains! Pick-up location was 25min drive from the airport (where Ramiro works) Drop-off was easy. We made sure that the van was clean, all in order, full tank and dropped of at his friend’s roughly 15min drive away from the airport. Our road trip couldn’t have been better without this van. The customised bed was sturdy and comfy, ample storage space, wide leg room for front seats, loads of camping tools such as pots, pans, stove, etc. The van was easily manoeuvred and fits in all parking spaces. All in all, Superb experience :D
