The Bike was ready to deliver to me 5 days after purchasing on the Raleigh website. A local bike shop built and carried out the Pre Delivery Inspection. All went well as everything was in working order for me to start riding the bike straight away. So full marks to Raleigh and the local bike shop. I want to use this bike for trips to the shops and other short trips to avoid using the car and to keep me fit and active. The design and appearance of the bike is not detracted with the addition of large panniers on the installed rack. So far very pleased with all aspects of this bike and I find it very comfortable to ride. I had a 1980s Raleigh Strada before this bike which did not deal well with the uneven roads and paths, not unexpected as it was built for speed rather than comfort like the Pioneer.

Build quality VG , brakes VG gears VG , i am not sure of the Bosch motor / battery , Bosch is a byword for quality ,on the flat it is very good but i live in Scotland
