Authentic Israel

Loved our trip to Poland for March of the Living. Our staff, Alan and Fara, were fantastic. ORGANIZATION (Fara) Each day was extremely ORGANIZED -- we stuck to the schedule and had no hiccups or delays whatever. Really remarkable considering all the moving parts and different regions of the country visited. Excellent logistics and time management. FOOD I LOVED LOVED LOVED the food -- I'm a very healthy eater and want lots of protein, vegetables and fruit. Every evening meal had multiple protein options including salmon, chicken, brisket, etc. The boxed lunches were also good- I appreciated having a grilled chicken salad and fresh fruit each day (rather than a sandwich). GUIDES (Alan) Alan was an EXCELLENT tour guide. He has the unique ability to personalize stories to help participants relate to each unique circumstance. He posed thought-provoking questions that challenged us to think differently about various scenarios. Also, loved that he waited until our very last tour, at Treblinka, to share his own deeply personal and tragic story about the death of his grandfather's entire family - so powerful and meaningful to learn his intimate connection to the Holocaust. Truly enriched the experience even more once he shared his story. LODGING/TRANSPORTATION All three hotels throughout our journey were wonderful. Very comfortable quiet rooms and excellent amenities. The bus was also very comfortable and spacious, always stocked with plenty of extra water bottles. GROUP 2 I believe we hit the Group jackpot, in terms of the other people in our group. Everyone was very respectful and kind - no drama or high-maintenance situations. I realize Authentic Israel has no control over this aspect of the trip - but couldn't resist mentioning that we had wonderful people with whom to share the meaningful experience. Both Alan and Fara were very personable and approachable for questions throughout the entire journey. So grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Sidenote - our daughter Maraya Goldstein is participating in an Authentic Israel Magen David Adom Onward internship this summer. Hoping she has an equally meaningful experience.

Excellent. Tour guide was excellent - professional, supportive and surpassed expectations. Group, volunteering, hosts, talks and tours were interesting, informative and worthwhile. Highly recommend!

From the moment I registered for this journey, I was well taken care of by Toby Ayash. I am grateful that I registered with this group - March of the Living - Authentic Israel. Being a senior citizen, it was important to me to be assisted. I did try not to be too naggy! Our bus no. 1 were a lovely and friendly group of mostly Americans. Our guide Gadi was a knowledgeable, patient and friendly guy. I had flown from Israel to join the group in Krakow. Even though I left the group after the March and returned to Krakow, Toby and Gadi ensured that I could join another bus who were returning to Krakow. I would highly recommend travelling with Authentic Israel. עם ישרשל חי!

The work was meaningful and SO APPRECIATED by the Israeli hosts! The group of volunteers really enjoyed each other, our guide, our driver. We developed a strong bond that keeps us communicating with each other even though our Israel experience is over.
