Pretty Solid Little Instrument
This is my first Ocarina so I don't have anything else to compare the Bravura to but from some of the things I've heard about other cheaper ocarinas, this one is one of the best you could probably get for your money. r/Ocarina has tons of posts of similarly priced ocarinas that are plagued with the problem of being out of tune, uncomfortable to hold or not even functional at all. This Bravura has none of those problems. The only thing I don't particularly like is the somewhat airy high notes. Now like I said I have no other ocarinas and have never tried another one. Maybe that is just how ocarinas are, maybe it's just how plastic ones in are or maybe I just need to practice more. Either way I am more than happy with my purchase and I plan on buying a nice ceramic model the moment I can afford it. I also ordered the Video Game Songbook and It seems pretty straightforward and a good little collection of songs to get started. The Instructions that came with the ocarina I found to be a bit easier to understand than the Songbook but it just takes some re-reading a few times. No defects with my product and it feels very solid to hold. I'm practicing learning the standard notation as there are a lot of songs I want to learn that I can't find ocarina tabs for. Glad I didn't purchase a cheap toy from Amazon.
