The Kiln so far is working well. There were and are a few things that I felt fell a bit short. The kiln and the operation of it was 100% new to me. One was the burnout before using. I don't believe there was a menu for it given as to time and sequence. I had to contact Paragon to get their recommendation. The whole door safety switch adjustment instructions??? What is that about? Shouldn't that have been taken care of before they sent it? Tell me.
Since it will be basically an enameling kiln for me, I want it to go to 1450F as quickly as possible. Again sequence to put in is uncertain to me. I feel the instructions leave a bit to be desired when there isn't anyone to ask as is my case. Clearer and more specific.
The keypad instructions were well printed the Instruction and Service Manual were VERY poorly printed. If they wrote the instructions for someone like me who knows very little about the kiln, it would make sense to everyone. It was a lot of time and energy so far and I am still now certain of what to do. I am hoping this all works out as the old one we use in class does, but the instructions certainly do little to get you rapidly and safely started.
