Boquette pre-trip was very interesting. Canal Zone portion gave us new insight Into building the old canal and the new locks. The real treat was the MS/Discovery trip down the canal. Excellent food. Down in the locks with huge tankers in the same lock. Awesome!

The trip was everything I had imagined and then some. Our Guide Rasha Donia gave us a wonderful glipse of today's Egypt as well as the Egypt of 2500 BC.

It was a fabulous trip and there was nothing I disliked. Our Trip Leader, Abdou, added much to the whole trip with his warmth, friendly, outgoing way and great sense of humor. He seems to be totally unflappable and enjoys life immensely. He also provided interesting insights into Berber life in Morocco. I was stunned by the beauty of the Riad Salam Fez and the staff is expert at assisting their guests. Would certainly recommend it to anyone. I was also amazed at the comfort of the desert tent complex. It is more accurately desert glamping, not camping and was quite comfortable. And being able to actually ride a camel was an amazing experience - one I'm very glad to have had the opportunity to do. I also enjoyed all of the learning and discovery experiences both the planned ones and the ones Abdou was able to arrange spontaneously. There was such an abundance of information and experiences that I'm still processing the whole trip in my head and will be writing it down soon. I have not one negative thing to say about the trip and was impressed with OAT's thoroughness and expertise in covering all matters related to it. I would most definitely recommend the trip to a friend(s).

Another fantastic trip with OAT. Our trip leader Paulo and all the local guides were the best we have had in all of our travels. The country is gorgeous, the cities fascinating, and the people exceptional. The fears about safety are completely in the past. We never once felt any concerns walking in any of the cities or small villages. Mostly we felt pride and acceptance. And although we had heard the food was average, this too turned out to be incorrect. We had remarkable meals, both wit OAT and on our own. A great journey.
