Siaara Freeman is everything a teacher should be. I laughed, I cried. At times, I huffed and puffed at the way I was being ushered down challenging paths that I quickly realised were leading me in a direction better than any I had ever dreamed of going. I emerged from the course an entirely different poet--confident, grounded, certain of my direction. Siaara is an inspiration, not only as a teacher, but as a person. Her ability to hold an empowering and expansive container for personal and artistic evolution is unparalleled. I am forever grateful for this powerful journey and cannot quite put into words how deeply I recommend her mentorship. What an honour it has been to learn from a being of her calibre. Cannot wait for the day I get to be in another of her classes!
