I visited the Gibson Garage, London in mid June. I was impressed with the whole range and it was nice that I was allowed to play some custom shop Les Paul's, even though I can't afford one yet. But I do own a Les Paul Standard 50s in Inverness Green and an Epiphone 335 inspired by Gibson, which is also extremely good. It was nice to be greeted by everyone in the shop and certainly cheered me up after travelling by train and tube on the hottest day of the year. Thank you

Got my Dark Purple Burst SG Modern named Thanos. It's my dream guitar. Sounds and plays amazing. Let me repeat: sounds and plays *AMAZING*. Only 3 things I didn't love: 1) there was a small amount of checking on the neck right by the fifth fret right out of the box. Not sure if it happened in shipping or if that is just within tolerance, but seemed a little out of place on a $2500 guitar. 2) There was some obvious running of the paint that overshadowed the Burst look on the instrument. Kinda wish I could I have picked the grain (feels like I lost the grain roulette a little). 3) The clear tone knobs on the SG Modern look awful. These were swapped with gold the same day. I thought it was interesting that the Dark Purple Burst Les Paul had gold knobs by default but I had to pay extra for my SG Modern. Customers should be able to choose this as an option, imho. All in all those are relatively minor issues. Still give it 5/5 and I love the guitar!
