I've used the MKII for years for occasional gigs and for at home listening. I decided to buy a brand new Technics because I assumed the quality would be even better. And I was definitely right! I love the fact that I can remove the power supply cable, RCA, and Ground. Makes replacing these items very easy. Gone of the days of opening your TT and soldering new wires in. I will also say that this turntable is a little lighter than the old Technics. Which will definitely make it a bit easier to carry around from gig to gig. Torque is great, operation is smooth. I'm happy. You will be too!
