The shoes are remarkable and comfortable from the get-go. I got the red-heeled pair and love them. You need to use a shoehorn to navigate the high tongue and heel, but they slide on easily. They give the ankle support for walking and help me walk with my toes straight ahead instead of sideways. I had to remove the insole on one shoe as my large toe rubbed on the notch in the insole and tape it over and reposition it for comfort. I look forward to enjoying these shoes for a long time.
