Rainbow Mealworms

Almost all the bugs come alive, although they are sometimes bigger/smaller than anticipated. Regardless, the prices are AMAZING and my leopard geckos absolutely LOVE them!

I purchased 500 med (adolescent) + 500 small (juvenile) nymphs to start my own colony. The shipment arrived quickly and well packaged with very few dead worms. I have been a little disappointed at how many works have died since I set-up there colony in a 3 drawer dresser with wheat bran as bedding and food and I feed them apples and carrots (change them out every other day). However, I have been pleasantly surprised at hoe quickly the worms have morphed into pupa, especially the small sized worms. I guess I thought the small worms would grow to be med/large before pupating but that has not been the case. I would buy from Rainbow again, I just wish I knew why my mortality rate is so high while my pupa morph rate is so high.
