Customer Service Lacking

I recently purchased Halo Cat food on-line. The food arrived intact in a timely manor. The problem I had was with customer service. My local store had recently stopped carrying Halo products, so I went to 3 specialty Pet food stores before finding some product, but not the wet food that my cat ate. When I opened the dry food bag @ home, I noticed the pellets were large, like the dog food pellets. When I opened the dry food that was mailed to me, the pellets were the smaller size. I then called the customer service hot line to apprise that the dog pellets were packaged in the cat food bags. Rather than ask me for the lot #'s etc, the person goes on to claim that this is impossible as the product is manufactured in different facilities. This infuriated me as a customer. I took the time out of my life to apprise them of an issue, only to be responded to with denial. No coupons or apology given. I was told to return it to the store, as if I don't have enough to do around Christmas. I will attempt to return it after the Holidays. Both the Cat & Dog food bags are the same colors...perhaps the wrong bags were sent to the facility & no one noticed? Or perhaps the facility does make dog & cat food? Anyhow, this has left a bad taste in my mouth, and I plan to switch to another brand that values it's customers more. Mind you, Halo is NOT cheap.

The bags are not 100%

The bags are not 100% sealed and then I opened one of them which smelled off compared to the ones I bought in the past. Also, the texture is different than before with more loose powders around the kibbles. Felt like the quality had been compromised due to the poor packaging and possibly the recent merger of companies.

Not listening

Customer service did not listen to my problem when trying to take advantage of an email stating a free bag of treats for x number of points. I honestly don’t think they knew about the special offer sent out via email.

Elevate halo chicken and sweet potatoes

Shipping took to long, ordered on Black Friday and it tooted over 10 days to receive.

Rewards negates by shipping

I spent over $50 to earn free shipping. Then I used my rewards points to get a discount in my order. When the discount took me below $50, the shipping was added back on. That is not good customer service. Rewards are a bonus for all the money I have spent on your products. I’ve been a customer for years! My rewards should not have any impact on free shipping requirements. I reached out to customer service, but have not heard back.
