My pups have been eating freeze dried raw for most of their lives. I was buying other brands that are more like little pucks you break up and mix with water. After mixing it, it made something like a paste, and I felt badly that my pups didn’t have anything to really chew while eating. Recently I was introduced to Halo’s line of FDR food, and the little bite-sized nuggets are a nice change. I have two pomeranians and a chihuahua, and all three of them love this food. Since my pups are small (7 lbs each), at first I was a little concerned they might have trouble with the size of the nuggets, but they have no problem with the nugget size at all. I still mix the Halo with a little water to soften it slightly, but they love the food dry too. Sometimes I even use it as a treat. Oh, and the Halo raw treats are fantastic! My pups are absolutely obsessed with the Ahi Tuna treats and the Chicken Heart treats. This family gives Halo freeze dried raw food and treats six paws and two thumbs up!
