I loved the concept of Cave Pets, and since my cat loves everything with organ meats, I thought it would be a win. However, there were problems from the start.
I ordered a special offer product bundle. This is all I placed in my cart, which I double checked before hitting the BUY button. A moment later, the confirmation screen showed I had purchased 2 bundles - the one I had in the cart, PLUS some other bundle that I did not recognize - AND a membership! Instead of being charged about $72, it was over $120.
I immediately (that moment) contacted the company. I was told it was too late to cancel the order and it was “already on its way” (impossible). But I could return it. He also implied it was my own error, despite my repeatedly describing what had occurred.
When the package arrived, all the products were all combined in the box, so it was impossible to see what was part of what bundle - and no breakdown included. So, I offered two items to my cat. He turned his nose up like I was trying to poison him. I tried a few more times the same treats, and then decided to open one second variety in case it was just a fluke. Same result.
I decided to return the entire thing. Well, turns out, the whole “try our products risk free” thing is a lie. They will not accept back what is opened. (How can you try the products without opening them?) I was glad I didn’t open more than 2 of the 7 or 8 bags they sent.
Eventually, about 6 emails later, they did several “partial refunds” - it was such a picky process. A little here… and there little there.
Bottom line is, try at YOUR OWN as it is NOT risk-free, even when they screw up your order. There is no acceptance of error by this company. I am a business owner and this is not how I treat my customers. These guys seem to only care about the bottom line.
