Sales assoc was helpful, but the dialogue overhead between staff was rather negative. They seemed overburdened with their duties during COVID and service was not friendly. Store was clean and stock was fair.

Let's just your shipping is really bad. Yiu rake 3 says to pack it and print a label. Then another 24 hours to actually give it to FedEx. Then since you mislead people into thinkng it will come from the US side. It spends another day crossing the border. While your prices are good your shipping stinks. So now I remembered why I stopped buying from you. Terrible lenght of time to get things from you. That has not improved since the last time I ordered several years ago.

The website said that items I ordered were in stock but only received part of the order. I did receive a refund on the items that I did not get.

online pick up system could be more automated

We liked most of the aquarium stuff we ordered. However we didn't get the two Buccaneer Skulls we ordered. Then a few days later we got another package from Big Al's Pets. I couldn't read the label who it was from before I opened it, because it was so small and smeared. It was goods we never ordered, but with the packing slip inside from the order we already received, days earlier. I tried chatting with someone...Nick I believe his name was, but chat stalled out or something. We communicated through email and he sent a "return" label for us to print out and sent the package back that we didn't order. I didn't mind this at all, but it just seems like Big Al's doesn't have it all together. Not sure I will reorder from Big Al's or not, because I'm afraid we may not get everything or get stuff we never ordered. Big Al's does have some nice products however. Just my honest opinion from a first time customer.
