I was certainly at my wits end with my two American Staffies when we moved into 10 acres and had old, rotten fencing surrounding the place. No matter what we did, or how we did it, they found a way to get out. They’d climb, they’d dig, and for two large dogs they fit in surprisingly small places. I was a little put off with the price and didn’t think it would work on my two boofheads but after speaking to someone over the phone, he was extremely helpful and knew exactly what he was talking about INCLUDING the breeds of dogs each fence is best used for. My two are very pain tolerant but surprisingly smart so we needed something heavy duty but that also warned them to stay back. Took us 2 hours to set up around 1 acre (dogs yard), and it didn’t interfere with the hot tape we have for the horses paddocks. We had an advantage that our two are used to wearing a collar due to livestock so they knew what was going on and weren’t worried at all when we put them on. We spent the weekend encouraging them to go where they were allowed and growling when they went near the flags. Now we can leave their collars off them (flags still up) and they don’t even try to leave the yard. We still use the collars when we aren’t home but when we are, they come off and we haven’t had any issues. I couldn’t recommend it to anyone enough. Perks is, if we move, it comes with us!
