Our male staffy never used to bark unnecessarily until we moved next door to a big lab that barks all day every day. 6 months on and our staffy now barks at every person walking past the house, every bird that flies over the back yard, every cat, the neighbours....you get the picture. He would respond when we yelled out 'quiet' but we aren't home all day every day and having to get up through the night to stop him barking at possums was a real pain. We tried a sonic bark collar with mixed success but found it would go off randomly for no reason so wasnt reliable as a training tool. I'm pretty confident our boy knows exactly what this new collar is as he flat out refuses to bark from the second it is on. I have heard him bark once with it on and it was one bark followed by complete silence. I have not had to go above the lowest setting, and it has really made such a difference for everyone because he's no longer getting yelled at all the time and he actually seems a lot happier not having to bark at every single thing. Highly recommend to anyone with a problem barker that is looking for a much more humane solution then dumping your pet at a shelter or getting their voice box clipped.
