The xxs fits my chihuahua perfectly, and I feel great knowing she’s protected from the unexpected. I picked this up for a trip to rural Tennessee and it’s been great to let my dog hang out without constant babysitting. I also like the extra bell, which has helped me track her down in the brush! I recommend getting a bright color if you live or are spending time in the woods. Shipping was also super fast which I appreciated.

My one complaint is there is no opening to attach a harness under the vest. I feel better if my dog is wearing a harness so I have better control during an attack. The size chart was very helpful. Harnesses and clothes do not always fit Freda well because of her body size but this vest fits comfortably around her middle and neck. It might be slightly short on the back end. It felt hard when I first put it on Freda but it quickly softened. Freda does not mind wearing it. We are still becoming use to the whiskers. Freda was nearly taken by a coyote and this makes me feel a little bit better. I wonder if there is a way to protect the back legs?

I have two chihuahuas that both own Coyote Vests. One of my pups, Bean, loves to roll around in grass and brush when we are out hiking. She had lost her spike strips in this way which prompted me to order a replacement set which I received promptly. This time, I super glued the strips to the vest, hoping for a stronger bind to prevent losing one again. The first time we went out hiking, the glue & velcro didn't hold & she lost one strip again. I've spent much time searching the ground for lost strips and usually find them, but I didn't this time. I'm sure there is a better adhesive I could try or sew it on but I've become slightly frustrated as I don't enjoy purchasing things online. I am a huge fan of Coyote Vest and often share your name to strangers who comment on my dogs collars and vests. Thank you for everything you do. Hoping you will develop a solution to lost spikes. I'd prefer they were fixed permanently to the vest.
