Acadia 8" Black 400G

My Acadia's are 400g GTX Size 12 D. By brannock I am a 12.5 B. I wear a 13D in my Danner Raptors, Danner Mountain 600's, and Danner Arctic 600's. The 600's fit perfect, the Raptors have lots of play in the toe box but it's perfect for thick socks and adding a superfeet insert. All great boots. The Acadia's, true to website run long and narrow. These fit me perfect if not a little snug on width. IF you run wider than a B on brannock, get the EE. If I had to do over I'd go for a wider toe box just so I could wedge in a full footbed insert. But the airthotic alone is nice. Warmth, if you are moving around a lot, 200g or 400g of insulation will warm up nicely. If you are just sitting or just standing around. Look for a boot with 600g to 1200g of insulation ie the canadian, trophy, alsea, vital or powder horn's or lookouts if you want to stay with a black boot.

As usual this exceptional footwear fit right out of the box. My feet are warm but not overheated. The boots feel strong and look good.

The tow box was too tight even with the wide width. Overall the boot was high quality but the lack of a footbed was disappointing.

I've worn these boots throughout the years from desert sand to the snow. Work, hiking, hunting, or fishing, these boots are great!
