So VERY GLAD I Have This!!
We are Full-timers. I have been running my Splendid Combo WasherDryer now for a month. If I had my ultimate choice, I would go with a separate W/D, but we do not have the space. Having said that, I do really like this machine. It took a little getting used to. How is that, Glad you asked. 1) It will wash more than it will dry. So I will wash the load and then break the dry loads in half. If I try to dry the whole load, dress shirts come out twisted and very wrinkled. Putting a wet towel back in with it and dry for 30-45 minutes doesn't work. I do have a rack that I attach to the ladder at the back of the MH. Clothes that can dry outside goes there and the half other goes through the dryer. 2) White Load wash and dry time will be about 4 hours. 3) After every 30 loads you have to run a clean cycle. This one is shorter than the required one I ran before I washed any clothes. It runs quiet. The spin cycle doesn't shake the whole unit and it really gets the clothes spun out good. 4) You have to use powder or liquid soap and fabric softener. No dryer Sheets or PODs or Non Splash Bleach (it has detergent in it). So considering that I was going to laundromats and/or using a portable washer in our shower and running a line and using the ladder attachment thing, I am VERY HAPPY with this machine. It's hard to believe that a washer and dryer are the same machine. The only thing I have found yet is the FOLD button! :-)
PS: We did do as one suggested and purchased the metal hoses to hook up the water. The hoses that come with the machine are good HOSES, but the connections are plastic. This is why I gave it a 4 STAR rating.
We also didn't purchase the dryer kit. We purchase a coupler and it went into the machine and attached a SS dryer vent cover. It worked perfectly! Straight and no hose.
