The new Copper Perch
This was a new bait that the great folks at Strike King wanted me to try out on my first day after my retirement and on about my 3rd or 4th cast in 14ft of water running it about 6 to 8ft deep on the retrieve I hook into something big that darted into an old brushy tree and some rocks and I, sad to say I lost the bait and I do belive a good bass. Not to say we were crappie fishing with the lucky 13s and it was very slow all day for all on the lake. Live scope showed plenty of fish suspended about 2 to 4ft off bottom and we presented all 8 different L13s to them and almost touching there lips and no takes or movements to the baits. This was on Saturday the 28th at Wister the day a front moved in and wind and rain cleared all boat traffic off the lake. I will order an extra supply of the new Copper Perch for my 10 day trip on Wister on 3/20/26. Dennis
