The most well known all round UK mountain jacket
There's a reason you'll see this jacket on every summit in the lakes, peaks, or Highlands, and that's because it's a fantastic standalone mid layer jacket for warmer days, or basis for layering up on colder ones.
Absolutely insane that people are marking down microlights for not being suitable in Antarctica!
Use it for what it's meant for, a packable midlayer for technical climbs or hikes in the lakes or the Highlands and this is the perfect all rounder. It isn't a winter jacket and it isn't a waterproof, but Rab never said it was. Stick a shell jacket over the top and youve got a jacket that will handle Helvellyn in the rain. If you want to trek with the penguins, get a warmer jacket. Rab sell those too. They even rank them on warmth out of 5! Scary to think people will be heading above the treeline without understanding fill power or weight.
The one thing I'll mark it down for is the labels peeling off. This is my third and the other two are both labelless. Why they aren't embroidered on like TNF do ill never know but apart from that this jacket is literally perfect.
