Friggin awesome 1x10 setup!!!

I have had two upgrades to my Ibis Mojo HD that completely transformed my riding. The first was three years ago when I bought my first dropper seatpost, and the second was this summer when I installed the OneUp Components 42 Tooth Chainring. After switching to a single chainring upfront I had always struggled on the long uphills and the OneUp chainring eliminated that struggle. The only disappointment was that I was one of the people that ordered it online before they were even released, so I did not get one of the 16 tooth replacement rings.

I have been running one of these I believe since March or so. It works great, with a clutch deraullier this piece of engineering opens up the 1X world to the masses that cannot afford the over priced top end items. Great company that really stand behind their product!

I am a bike mechanic so I've seen a few of these this summer, whether it be the One Up or the Wolf's Tooth. I installed my own and it has been flawless from day one. I have heard some complaints and worked on peoples bikes who didn't have such great luck. But every one that I saw in the shop that wasn't working right was installed improperly. Either they didn't put the spacer in the right spot or they didn't adjust their b-tension screw or they they just needed to replace their cable and housing because it had too much friction. Whatever the case, I was able to get every one of these to work perfectly. They thought I was a wizard but really it was nothing. The only complaint I have and it is not really a complaint it is just a comment is that the gear ratio jump over the 17 tooth cog (if that is the one you remove) is noticeable. It's not a deal breaker but it is noticeable. Otherwise it is a great solution to drop your front derailleur at a reasonable price.

I was one of the first of my friends to install the one up 42t ring and it's the best thing I ever did. way cleaner cockpit and very smooth shifting. my other friends ordered later and got the 16t ring edition which makes the jump much better. I will eventually upgrade to that also
