Light, well-fitting wading boot

I've had these for a month now with ~10+ fishing days on them, so not a long-term review. I wear a street shoe size 9 and bought the same in the wading boot. They fit loose with a neoprene wading sock and tight, but OK with my waders. When they get wet, the laces or perhaps, leather stretches - so if it feels tight at the car, it will loosen but still perform well. One could consider sizing up if wearing thick socks. Appreciate the simple and rugged design. They have a good platform that feels stable and have a much slimmer profile than my Simms Freestones. They provide good support around the ankles. I had trouble installing the aluminum studs - they always wanted to go sideways. With good pressure, I was able to install them straight using a power drill on low :).

True to Size

I read a lot of reviews on this and took the sizing tips from the majority of the reviews. I wear a 9.5 in regular shoes and have a wide foot. Most of the reviews I read strongly suggested going at least one full size up and gave warning about shrinking fit with use, so I went with a safe 11 with neoprene socks. I have been going wade fishing in the gulf bay every week for the past 2-3 months in rock, sand, and grassy flats with no durability or performance issues. My only regret is bumping all the way up to 11. I have not experienced any shrinkage and a 10 would have been the more appropriate fit.

Wade with Confidence

I was initially skeptical about these wading boots. Were they supportive enough? Would they grip as well as felt soles? Despite the fact that I had to order size 11 when I normally wear size 10 shoes, I have discovered that, to date, these boots are comfortable, supportive, and grippy -- and I have not yet taken advantage of the aluminum studs that I could apply to the bottoms of the boots if things get really slippery. I have to admit, I am impressed with these boots. The price is a little dicey, but if they last more than five years, it will be money well spent.
