Best Wading Boots Ever
I have been fly fishing for over 40 years, and graduated from my original wading shoe, tennis sneakers, to my first pair of real wading boots about 30 years ago. I have tried every brand and sole imaginable, and I have never found a pair of boots as comfortable and sticky as these. Out of the box, these wading boots perform as well as the grippiest studded soles or felt. Felt can work great while wading, but it's terrible on land. Studs can stick to some rocks, but catch and mar surfaces on land or a boat. The River Salt Wading Boots work like magic in and out of the water, and are comfortable from the get-go. They run true to size, and I have two pairs: one in my normal street size for wet wading with a pair of neoprene wading socks, and a second pair one size up for pairing with cold-weather wool socks and heavy waders. Be aware that, because of the materials used in construction, they will "shrink" after several uses, but loosen back up once they are on your feet and in the water. They are a little heavier than some other versions, but I find them easy to maneuver, whether fishing from a boat or hiking over rough terrain to my favorite remote stream or river.
