Solidly Built Rain Shell
Been collecting specific Patagonia pieces for the last decade focused on function and durability and the Torrentshell is no exception. The Torrentshell isn't the lightest rain shell out there, but I don't have to worry about it wetting out or ripping out in the field. Works fine on its own with a tee and keeps me warm as a shell over an R1 air zip-up or hoodie. Have not needed to use the pit zips yet, but the mechanical venting is worth the extra weight. Bonus: I picked up this jacket in Borealis Green, which is an awesome color in person and in my humble opinion a gentle nod to one of my favorite childhood characters, Gumby! I love it.
