okay i ordered my first life for me mat recently. it's my first time buying a more expensive mat but i've tried different yoga mats through either yoga studios or through friends in the past. i have used a jade yoga travel mat for a long long time but find the padding on that to be quite thin given that its form factor is meant to be a little bit lighter. i have been looking for an upgrade to that and have found life for me to be an amazing upgrade in all regards. i used to have to practice with a yoga towel on my jade yoga mat but no longer on the life for me. i'm able to go to my hot yoga classes consistently and go through an hour- to two-hour class without any problems with slipping or anything like that. i still lay down a towel whenever we're on the ground for an extended period of time just so that my sweat doesn't soak into the mat as much. as long as you leave the mat out to dry after your practices, it really shouldn't stain and should hold up quite well. i've only had the mat for about a month so i can't comment too much on the durability per se but it's been awesome. if anything, the only downside is the mat is quite heavy so if you’re looking to carry this around a lot it’ll weigh down on your shoulders. customer service is really really friendly and nice to work with. if you ever have any troubles with the mat itself, definitely do reach out and they'll be more than happy to help you out there.
