Nice piece of kit.

Knife is great. Have several winklers but this one just holds right in the hand. Good factory edge and perfect size to carry inside or out of the waist. Added benefit is the handle, the white oak looks better in person for sure and of course winkler sheaths are next level.

The blades fit and finish is excellent. The handle fits my large sized hand well. I’m able to control the blade with minimal effort. I expect it to excel at everything from day to day tasks, up to and including human consumption in a back up or as an interim self defense tool working toward a primary system. The leather sheath is well made and the blade fits well and stays in place. I would like to see a Kydex sheath option and possibly different attachment options.

I picked this up when I ordered all the back-issues I was missing from before I was a subscriber (that’s was a dark time). Maybe I’ve been looking at the wrong books, but I’ve never held a magazine-turned-coffee-table-book that was as high quality as this one is. Everything from the high-gloss pictures to the heavy paper stock oozes excellence. I can’t wait to start working my way through the articles, but I might do it wearing white gloves.
