Wake me, I'm dreaming!

As an Evolve pintail owner, I was eagerly awaiting the release of the Carbon AT. The pintail gave me so much to love, but had one major flaw for me. The roads in my area were so rough, that it became impossible to ride on them. The roads were so narrow in some parts, that if I needed to get off the road fast, I'd be nearly losing it each and every time, as 83mm Urethane was never meant to go off road. Roll on the Carbon AT. It answered the biggest ask I had. That ask being the ability to handle those dodgy roads, and the ability to cross seamlessly from road to grass to footpath and back again, without question. The MBS 8" tires make carving on roads feel so smooth, with really nice control thrown in for good measure. For me personally, it gives me confidence in the carve, that I can't get from urethane. The brakes are also improved from the pintail. I almost went for a fly because of the power they offer up. It's a welcome improvement, and once this power is understood, you quickly learn to lean back into the braking manoeuvre. The overall stability of the deck is improved with the AT as well. Yep, there's a lot to like about the Carbon AT. Jeff and the team have created something really special with this product, and I look forward to riding it into the sunset for years to come.

Best boards on the market, by far

Got into electric skateboarding about 4 years ago, when the boards were mainly unreliable Chinese copies, which all broke quickly. Then Evolve came along and I now have both an AT and a snubnose. They are completely different. Good quality, reliable, branded components. Worth the investment. Keep up the good work Evolve !

Always Evolving - Carbon Series

Just over a year ago I became the proud owner of a machine that has bought me great enjoyment, turning the roads and pathways of Perth into an endless wave and putting a huge smile on my dial. Just a few days ago that feeling and that smile was increased ten-fold. From my original Pintail to the Carbon AT, a great ride has only got better. Once restricted to good roads and paths, the ability of the AT now means that shoddy paths and rough bush tracks are now more like hitting ice patches on a ski run, trees over-hanging lawns have become the top of a hollow barrel, kerbing like the back-wash bumps on a shorey and speed more like that of a steep back country drop. What can you really say, other than – they nailed it. From the outset the board presents beautifully, the carbon fibre pattern giving it a futuristic look with a sleek low profile much like a regular longboard. Unpacking the board you do notice the weight, however for a board of this size, with AT tyres and carrying a lithium battery it is quite reasonable – compared to the pintail you barely notice the difference between the two. Hitting the road you firstly recognise the smooth acceleration, with the AT wheels and drive configuration I was expecting something a lot sharper. Announcing itself with a slight whine from the drive, the Carbon AT floats down the road. With the Evolve Super Carve trucks the board responds like that of a much smaller board, allowing you to effortlessly carve along on that endless wave. Top speed is more than required and gets there easily carrying a fair load. When it comes to stopping the AT’s brakes pull it up in no time at all (without throwing you off the front), I have however chosen to utilise the many lawn verges on the roads to safely negotiate intersections, reducing the need to brake at all! It is a weapon! It turns heads everywhere you go and makes similar boards look ancient. Now my Pintail still has its place however the Carbon Series has made what was fun into something exceptionally fun. Thanks Jeff and the Evolve team for creating such a high quality product that is a joy to ride. “But where's my hoverboard?” – Seth Sentry (Dear Science)

Its a lifestyle.

Dayum son what a board. What can I say? When I first sent off this pre order I thought "I instantly regret this decision! I could have used that money on a trip to skrill some japan pow" Until it rode it for the first time. This board totally blew apart any expectations I had. First of all the feel of this board is exceptional I love the way the deck has a little bit of flex, not too much, just enough. My trucks felt a little tight when I first got on but this seems to be a little easier to learn on, after about 5kms a half a turn looser this board literally feels like a snowboard. With the looser truck setting pinning it fast in a straight line could be a bit sketchy with the incorrect weight distribution but thats not what its all about, It's the carve man! Not much can beat rolling from heel to toe down your favorite bit of bike path. I don't think the A.T. Is a proper All Terrain board, it is more like a hard surface and bad bike path board it will literally eat up any bike path/road in any condition. 3cm branch no worries, tree roots not an issue, wet grass ah maybe not so much. But thats not the point. This board with the AT wheels makes a path that you thought "nah no way" with the bamboo series into "come at me bro" Gripes? rechargeable and smaller hand controller and maybe a little rubberised scuff pad on the rear part of the deck and on the motor for when your tow it around by the front trucks. All in all I love it and I see it as a real lifestyle changer. We ran out of milk!? don't worry babe I'll rip down to the shops ;)

Incredible experience

I've never been so excited to get an electric vehicle and this is my first long board! In the first few days I have learned to build up my confidence and now am ripping though some gravel trails and it's an incredible experience. The battery life seems amazing as I have yet to get to even half a charge after riding for an hour.
