I had previously been using the 3407 DT size 2 hooks for the construction of my spoon flies. It seems that the formulation of the wire for the hooks has been changed in the last couple of years, making the new hook too brittle to bend for my flies. Switched to the 34007 stainless steel hook to regain the ability to shape it. It has been a good replacement for me.
