Echelon Connect Bike EX-5

Love the bike and love the Facebook community! Customer service could be better when you have a problem. But the bike is awesome!!

High wait bike that is perfect for me.

I absolutely love the bike. It's completely silent, very fitting and comfortable ride. My only concern is you need the internet for connecting, which means you can not adjust the tension or get stats unless your connected to the internet. Other than that, can't see why someone would spend 3x the price for a peloton.

I'd been "hinting" at my husband (read - literally telling him that I wanted a spin bike ha!) for about a year or more. I'll admit that Echelon wasn't even on my radar at that point, but about 4 months ago, my sister mentioned that she'd worked with a guy who owned a Connect and raved about it. That evening, I mentioned it to my husband, and we checked out the site. I'll admit that the price is what originally drew us in over other bikes, but checking out the different options solidified our want. When we finally decided we were going to do this, we went back and forth with the EX5 and 5s. Even though I was over the moon about the purchase, I was nervous that we'd spend all this money and I would hate it, (I've never taken a spin class before) so we went with the 5 because I had an old iPad we could use as a screen. We figured that was better financially if this ended up being a horrible idea. When it finally arrived about 3 weeks after ordering, I literally dragged it into my house myself, and made my husband build it with me that night after he got home from work. I even did a beginner ride that night! That was February 15th, and I've ridden every single day since with the exception of 2 days while I recovered from my 2nd Covid shot. The bike is honestly my happy place now. I wake up at 5:20am to ride every day at 5:30 - sometimes live and sometimes OnDemand - and I've found a community with the other rides as well as instructors! I have more energy to play with my crazy toddler, and even a little more to make it through my day as a teacher. If you're on the fence about this bike or community, here's your sign to hit that "buy" button now! When we have a dedicated space, my next "hint" will be for a stride, rower, or reflect. Go for it - you deserve it!
