When I was able to wear it, my destroyed ankle from a Professional Rodeo accident years ago was excellent. However the brace even after heating it and wearing it like the instructions said for several hours to break it in and let it shape to my ankle, it rubbed a huge hole all the way to bone at the center of ankle bone. I got a huge infection from it all through the joint…. The brace does take away a lot of the pain from the arthritis and stabilizing is great but to rub me raw and to the point where I can’t wear the brace because it’s completely bloodied and infected my ankle/ I guess it’s kind of useless to me. Oh I even wore the brace while heating the exact location it was bothering me- no change…. I can see where the brace has taken on the shape of blown up ankle but to have it rub me raw and cause a massive infection is not worth owning it… Being a PRCA Steer Wrestler for 20 years, I know a lot about braces… I was hoping to postpone the Ominous Ankle Replacement Surgery for awhile- and I probably came close to a foot loosing infection from a brace that can not fit everyone’s ankle even with several heat up jobs from a heat gun….
