Best Use: Packable Warmth The Super Down LT combines our legendary Quixdown insulation with an all-new durable, matte face fabric, and updated styling for a significant update over our previous designs. The fabric is lighter, quieter, and more packable, while both the durability and tear strength increased by 50%. The redesigned baffle structure increases loft and warmth throughout the jacket, while the fit is improved for standalone wear and layering. Unlike typical down insulated jackets that use a shiny face fabric, the Super Down LT features a dull, matte finish, so whether you choose it in a camouflage pattern or solid color, it’s ideal for close encounters while hunting. Super Down LT’s fabric beads water and resists saturation thanks to the K-DWR water resistant treatment. The fabric takes on very little moisture and dries quickly after extreme use. The Super Down LT is sized with a mid-layer fit, so it comfortably layers over a base layer and mid-layer fleece, yet it’s trim enough to layer under our rain gear in the same size. The jacket features a new two-stage packability system. It self-stows in the right-hand pocket, with enough room to also stow the Super Down LT Pant. In this configuration it doubles as a comfortable camp pillow. If pack space is limited, a secondary cinch can be used to compress the jacket to half the stowed size.

Warm and packable

I bought this to stuff into my bag and carry it with me while traveling for work. It doesn’t take up much room and is very warm and windproof when I need it.

Infused with voodoo magic and VERY warm!

I've loved Kuiu ever since I bought a Yukon rain set for a hunting trip to Alaska. I own a lot of their gear (their Glomits are awesome!) but I've never owned a puffy jacket before - theirs or any other company. I've heard great things about them, but I was skeptical. Well, when this jacket went on sale for Black Friday I figured, why not give it a shot. Package arrived quickly and I actually laughed out loud when I took this jacket out of the box. There was NO WAY this jacket, which is as light as a t-shirt, could be warm. I couldn't have been more wrong! I've worn this jacket nearly every day since. It's replaced my daily jacket (which starts with a "C" and rhymes bar heart). I have two complaints. One, would love an interior chest pocket. Two, how do I keep my girlfriend from stealing this!? I seriously can't tell you how amazed I am that such a light jacket could be so warm, there has got to be some sort of voodoo magic in this thing. I promise you this, I'll be taking this on every hunt/trip from here on out because I can wear this around camp but also layer this under my traditional outerwear. It also packs down small and weighs next to nothing so will be a great emergency layer on those trips where you can't simply walk back to the house when you get cold. I was torn on which size to get, but at 5'9" and 175 pounds, this jacket is perfect for wearing over a hooded sweatshirt and under 2 of my other jackets if I really need to keep warm. I'm now a firm believer of puffy jackets and can't wait for the next sale so I can get one for my girlfriend, can ya'll make this in pink or purple!?
