Everything I expected.
I am very pleased with the ARRIS TG1682G modem. I bought this modem to replace a rented Comcast-Xfinity Triple play modem in February 2017. I am not sure why it is in such short supply, but if you keep watching, it will eventually turn up as available. When you get one, and follow the directions, Comcast will get you setup using their online process. Mu set up has another router connected to the back of the TG1682G. This second router currently does all of the router functions including wireless wifi, and printing.I suspect the new router has better wifi, but that is just a guess. My intent was to move everything to the TG1682G, but was dissapointed that the USB ports do not work. Supposedly they are to work in the future, but no words as to when. The ARRIS website doesn't shed much light on this either. I may just end up replacing my "back end" router with something like a ASUS RT-AC87U because it has the USB ports I would like to have. I would recommend this to anyone wh does not need USB ports for printers or hard drives.
