The last time I bought a mystery pack, the books were saddle-stitch-bound with staples. These are a huge improvement (and I liked those old ones just fine) and look so clean and professional. I love them!

Ugly books are well made with quality paper. I chose bold colors to refine my sense of value--the best colors are invisible without respect for and attention to value within composition, even in/especially in sketchy and casual environments. I love Ugly books and want to fill them all quickly so I can buy more.
