I’m happy as can be with my Audimute blankets. My goal was to cut down the early reflections in a small room. I mostly record vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, shakers, tambourines and cowbells. I built a temporary cage with PVC pipe (approx. 4’ x 4’ x 4’) and draped 3 Audimute blankets over the cage. The top, left, right and rear are all covered. The front is open. I use a cardioid pattern on my mics and Voila! the reflections are effectively non-existent. I bought 1/4” PVC pipe for the cage and further secured the blankets by tying knots all over the “structure.” I recommend thicker PVC pipe if you go this route because the Audimute blankets are pretty heavy.
