Now Oscar’s one of the cool kids at the barn! His stall at the end of the row meant that he didn’t get to see what was going on in the rest of the barn with his door closed. Now, that big ol’ head is hanging out there, watching all his buddies and neighbors down the row!
Very simple installation - just mount the hinges, screw the gate together and it’s pretty much done. There’s no latch, so most other folks just loop a chain through an eye hook on the outside of the stall, and it’s easy to open and close. The swing-down center gate is nice for a calm horse, so they can really look out and around. If things get too exciting in your barn, you can put the center back up, and it’s double hinged to swing in or out. The center gate is held securely with pins that pull out on a loop if you have fingers - and don’t, if you can only use your tongue or teeth (or hooves). The width is common to most stall openings (measure to be sure) but I added a 2 x 4 to the wall for extra security, as the gate swings in & closes against it.
I looked around at several other manufacturers, and this is competitively priced for a cast alumininum gate that is solid construction. Yes it’s made in China, but hard to find anything that isn’t. It’s a quality product and Schneider’s stands behind their stuff with a 60 day guarantee on most things including this gate (and other than saddles). Shipping was timely & as estimated (less than a week).
