My wife Nancy was diagnosed with MS three years ago. For the past two years, I have had to push her in a wheelchair everyplace we go and even around the house as she can't walk at all. The KD Smart Chair allows her some degree of independence as she is able to motor around in the house by herself on good days. Some days she doesn't have enough strength in her hands to operate the controls but that is how MS works. The Smart Chair is very light and I can easily load it into the back of our 4-Runner without even folding it up. We purchased the Smart Chair in November 2014 and have been extremely pleased with the chair.

I have the KD Smartchair now for 2 years and it has improved my mobility a lot. The chair is easy to use, to fold and store in almost any car trunk. The battery can stand a full day of intense use or several days with normal use. It is possible to ride not only on smooth surfaces but also in some outside uneven pavement. I have traveled several times by air and I can drive to the airplane door and dispatch the folded chair like a child stroller. I do not give 5 stars because of the technical assistance that takes a long time to answer and doesn't seems to want to help you. I had a problem with a electric connector that I had to fix it with crazy glue because they can't solve the problem without forcing me to by a complete set of joystick and cable that costs a lot.
