I've rucked about 40 miles while using the Wind Cheater with about 25 of those in moderate to heavy rain from 33F to 50F. The pit zips and mesh pockets provide good ventilation allowing me to keep going over a wide temperature range without having to stop to take it off. It makes for a good shell over base layers and, when static, over fleece for colder temps. In the rain it worked pretty well at keeping the water out but it's not 100% waterproof. I'm very pleased with it. I am 5'9" and 170 pounds - Large works for me
