The Boxy Sweater in Everyday Cotton

This is a high-quality sweater, but the boxy look does not work on my broad-shouldered frame. I wish Everlane made something in this price point with the same fabric but in a more class silhouette that is less boxy.

I’ve been purchasing these sweaters since they were the square cotton crewneck. I have five (washed black, cream, pink, navy and gray) from 5 or 6 years ago that I wear frequently and have been washed at least 100 times. They still look brand new and have never pilled. I was thrilled to see the dark charcoal gray and ordered it immediately. Unfortunately, it pilled after the first wash. The material is also scratchier than all my other sweaters and the weave is not as thick. I’m so sad. This sweater was a winner originally and needed no production modifications. I wish it was still produced the same way. Such a shame.

I loved my organic cotton sweater in scarab so much that I ordered another one in charcoal. . and it just didn’t fit the same or even look the same as the green one. . both xxs. The charcoal knit was looser and the bottom a much wider ribbing. I was disappointed. .

The material is not soft and since it’s a little big which it’s supposed to be it sits away from your skin and has a drafty effect. And as many Everlane products , it’s just a wee bit short. I got black and it looks washed out. I also purchased a gray one and after it said it was delivered the order was canceled because suddenly it was out of stock (which I’m happy about because it was going to be a sure return). All companies, not just Everlane have nagging quality issues.

Initially I loved this sweater. The fit and color are great. Unfortunately I wore it ONCE and it began to unravel at the neckline. An enormous hole. The quality is awful.
