Thanks to this sling our
Thanks to this sling our day naps are possible. I also have the carrier, but she stopped liking it, I think temporarily. This fabric seems more hugging, stretches to the size of YOUR baby and baby can take a more comfy position without extra pressure eg. at pubic area from diaper folding to the front. The minus is that neck support is not something reliable in this wrap, I always mind to hold her neck with hand. Putting baby’s head on the side part is not enough as she can fuss and release herself. Also I use it at home and never for a walk outside, the walk needs less bouncing, thus the structured carrier will suit better. Personally I would not choose just one type of sling, I would take both this one (maybe a couple just to be sure if the diaper leaks), and the structured carrier, as they serve differently. Fathers would prefer structured carrier more, as fixing wrap fabric around them requires mobility and men with wide or muscular shoulders often do not have it, so simple straps would work better with dads. I would also add woven slings to ergobaby collection, they are not stretchy and can work for older babies, while still giving the hugging feeling.
