Because the cartridges are clear, you can look at them and see if they are full, a little bit low on ink, or nearly empty and need to be replaced. They are well made so they don't leak all over you or your printer. The colors are as good or better than OEM cartridges. We have used Blake's cartridges for our Canon printers for years with no problems and highly recommend them.
